WE GOT HOT WATER! WE GOT A SPEEDING TICKET OVERDUE NOTICE!

It's finally a reality. We couldn't get the energy efficient one after all, because it needed a PVC flue, and there has to be 4 feet of horizontal and vertical clearance from any windows that can open. We don't open those basement windows, but the county won't approve, because it's possible to open them. The only spot with 4 feet of clearance is already taken by the PVC flue for the furnace. So, we got the non-energy efficient one and vented it out the chimney. On top of that, we got a speeding ticket with a $25 overdue charge because we were late in paying a citation we never received! So, instead of being $40, it's $65. Only a court ruling can revoke the fine. Luckily, we sweet-talked the county into dropping the fine because we never received the initial violation. What a day!
